Che pasticcio! -What a mess!

:-)

I am sorry with all of you who were linked here and now no longer. I will do my best to found again all of you!

Meraviglioso - Wonderful

meraviglioso
La notte era finita e ti sentivo ancora
Sapore della vita
Meraviglioso
Meraviglioso

I would like you read the lyric of this great song: "Meraviglioso" by Domenico Modugno, the italian singer of the famous "Volare".
Pics are by my last summer's album.
Good listening and enjoy life...

It's true, believe me
It happens by night on a bridge, seeing the dark water
with the damn desire to dive below.
All at once somebody beside me, maybe an angel
dress like a person passing, take me away saying me this:
Wonderful
you don't see how much world is
Wonderful
Wonderful
even your pain will seems then
Wonderful
Look around you, what gifts they have done to you:
the sea has been invented,
You don't say nothing: you think is nothing the sea!
Life, love
Wonderful
The love a woman would have just for you
Wonderful
The light of the morning, the hug of a friend
the face of a child
Wonderful
Wonderful..
Look around you, what gifts they have done to you:
the sea has been invented,
You don't say nothing: you think is nothing the sea!
Life, love
Wonderful
The night was finished and I hear you again
taste of life
Wonderful
wonderful

Mani di mamma - My mom's hands

Carino vero?

Su due piedi - On the spot

Do you like my new felt slippers?
I take the idea from Fra and I found the pattern on Martha Stewart website. As she does, I have used her pretty butterflies applying them with some beads.
I have also done one butterfly completely with beads.

I have sewed by sewing machine the sole to the top of each one and then I have done some stitches around with wool. The sole is a lttle too light even if I have used a double felt layer. The result is in any case very nice and they can be done in many colors and styles.

Going in for foots... I have finished my first sock with circular needles!!It is not really the perfection but I like it very much: it is always my first sock!! :-)

Winter Wonderland

Today is the last day of holiday. We wake up under about 20 centimetres of snow... And it goes on to fall down... We have done a long walk in the park... pictures speak for themself...

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown

He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Today I've tried to cook these apple dumplings and, togheter with coffee and orange juice, my breakfast has been really rich and tasty!!
Try them! Believe me, they are easy and fast... I wait for you feedback!!

Ingredients:
- A sheet of puff pastry
- 1 big apple
- 1 spoon of sugar
- apricot jam
- lemon peel
- 1 egg

- Roll out your puff pastry and cut some squares of 10 centimetres side.
- Peel the apple, slice it up and put it in a little saucepan with sugar and 3 spoons of water. Cook on a low heat since your apple will be dried and reduced to a mush (about 15 minutes).
- Take the saucepan off and put in 3-4 spoons of jam and the lemon peel (if you want you can also add some raisin that you previously put in water with some drop of rhum). Mix all togheter.
- Now, put in the middle of every square a big spoonful of the compound and join togheter the square's tips towards the centre.
- Brush your dumplings with the egg slightly whipped-up.
- Put them on the baking pan and bake them at 200°C for 15-20 minutes. Then, take them off and serve 'em chilled.

Limonata - Lemonade

- Mettete in frigorifero e consumate fredda: è buona e dissetante.

I hope that it could be useful also for you!

Ingredients:
- 1 litre of Water
- 3 Lemons
- 100 grams of Sugar

- Boil the water and then add the sugar. Mix it very well.
- Add the lemons peel (just the yellow one and not the white) and make it cold.
- Once it is cold, filter the water to eliminate peels. Add the 3 lemons juice. If the lemonade is too bitter, add again some sugar.
- Put the juice in the refrigerator and drink it cold: it is very good and thirst-quencing.

01 / 01 / 2009

Tonight, the last one of 2008, a soft snow has came down on the town, whitening it. The first day of the new year has began with an hot and strong coffee and, a time we put on our reliable gumboots, we walk to the Park of Monza (the bigger fenced park in Europe!), a stone's throw away...
